Pamela Doms research consultancy education tackles multi-disciplinary questions of education and town planning to give professionals in these areas additional knowledge and provide them with practical methods. In addition she is a source of inspiration for non-professionals and other interested parties, showing them a new way to look at their surroundings and the world in which they live. Particular attention is paid to such disciplines as the classics, (art) history and town planning.
In her multi-disciplinary research Pamela Doms combines an academic approach with concrete and practical application. Preferably the research leads to an exhibition, a design workshop or publication that inspires and invites people to invest in sustainable cooperation with a common aim of achieving something that will endure. Pamela’s PhD thesis is an example of this.
In her advisory capacity Pamela ranges from brainstorming with clients to designing a tailor-made process for a specific project. Her specialities in the area of town planning are resident participation, park landscapes and (semi) public spaces. Educational advice is aimed at innovation and setting up study programmes with the focus on art, the humanities and entrepreneurship.
In the field of education Pamela develops programmes for management and lessons, either as such or in combination with coaching for management, teaching staff and students. She works in the areas of the history of art and architecture, the classical period and cultural entrepreneurship or allied fields. Pamela likes to work with staff of all levels of an organisation in order to come to a widely accepted and motivated result.
